Turner Lake Community Center + Coffee Shop
Location
Turner, Oregon
Project type
Community / Hospitality
Scope
Conceptual + Schematic Design
Status
Conceptual / Unbuilt
Envisioned as a welcoming community gathering place along Turner Lake, this conceptual project combines a neighborhood coffee shop with flexible community spaces in a relaxed, lodge-inspired setting.
The design draws from the character of a mountain lodge, using expressive roof forms, natural materials, and generous glazing to create a strong connection between the building and its lakeside surroundings. Indoor and outdoor gathering areas were organized to take advantage of views toward the lake while creating a comfortable destination for both everyday visits and community events.
Developed as a prospective project for presentation to the City of Turner, the design explored the potential for a distinctive community destination centered around gathering, recreation, and the lake.
